Carmel, IN – April 1, 2024 – With the upcoming total eclipse in Central Indiana, The Omnibus Show is thrilled to welcome Dan Kelleher, President and HydroGeologist of Midwest GeoSciences Group, and to learn about the one-of-a-kind telescope that he will be sharing with the community, in a partnership with the City of Carmel, IN, at the city’s official viewing event at City Hall on April 8.

Kelleher, PG, CIPM is the co-founder of Midwest GeoSciences Group which was formed to simply help consultants do a better job preparing accurate and complete soil boring logs. The organization offers high level training around the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Australia. Find more information at midwestgeo.com/solareclipse2024/index.php

Midwest GeoSciences Group has built a telescope for safely witnessing the anticipated Total Solar Eclipse next Monday. People will be able to witness the eclipse from anywhere around the world and without looking directly at the sun, thanks to a special viewing station that will capture the image of the sun and then transmit it on a live streaming platform that will be shared both on the ground and across the globe.

Kelleher, who will be presenting the telescope, is an earth scientist, who is recognized for his technical expertise in quantitative hydrogeology (in porous and fractured media), geotechnical analysis of sedimentary sequences, aquifer testing, fractured rock hydrogeology, and predictive ground water modeling.

Plan to visit with Kelleher at the Gazebo outside of City Hall in Carmel on Monday, April 8, from 10 to 5 pm.
